The Meaning Behind Our Mark

Southside Specialties was founded on a legacy of craftsmanship passed down from Jeremy’s grandfather, Henry Riley, a master carpenter who built his life and his family’s future with his own hands. His tattoo of a crossed pick and shovel, marked with the words “Hard Times,” became a symbol of the blue-collar men and women who endure, provide, and create.

That emblem became our mark.

It represents the values we stand on today: hard work, integrity, discipline, and the belief that craftsmanship matters. We carry this symbol as a reminder of where we come from, and the responsibility we have to build with intention, respect, and excellence.
